Performance Enablement

These are our key components of performance enablement at Smith+Nephew:

Each of our performance components is underpinned by ongoing coaching and feedback, which may include multidimensional or 360 degree feedback as part of our employees career development.

We calibrate employee's individual performance at an annual performance calibration process which takes place in January, to ensure consistency and fairness. A distribution of ratings is provided as a guidance but there is no forced ranking of performance at Smith+Nephew.
